Data handling
There are no accounts on Rivetcove and no payment details anywhere in the platform. This page covers what remains.
Rivetcove does not operate user accounts, does not accept payment information and does not hold player point balances on its servers. The game runs entirely in the browser and the data it requires remains on the visitor's device. Where this policy refers to personal information, it means information capable of identifying an individual, and the volume of such information held by Rivetcove is deliberately minimal.
Three values are written to browser storage during normal use: confirmation that the visitor is aged 18 or over, the response given to the cookie notice, and the current point balance together with the last stake selected. None of these values is transmitted to Rivetcove, and none identifies the visitor. Clearing browsing data removes all three, after which the age confirmation and the opening balance are presented again as they are to a first-time visitor.
The site is served from commercial hosting. In common with any web server, the host records an access log containing an IP address, the resource requested, a timestamp and a browser identification string. These records exist for security monitoring and capacity measurement, are not examined at the level of an individual visitor, are not combined with any other data set, and are overwritten on a short rotation.
Where a visitor accepts optional cookies, aggregate usage statistics are collected: pages opened, approximate region, browser family and depth of scroll. The resulting data is examined in group form only. Rivetcove does not construct visitor profiles, does not operate advertising or retargeting technology, and does not sell, rent or otherwise disclose data to third parties for marketing purposes. Declining optional cookies prevents this collection entirely.
Messages sent to the published address are received together with the sender's email address and the content of the message. Such correspondence is retained only for the period required to resolve the matter raised and is then deleted. Email addresses obtained in this way are not added to any mailing list.
Subject to applicable law, a visitor may request confirmation of what personal information is held, a copy of that information, correction of inaccuracies, or its deletion. In the ordinary case the answer is that Rivetcove holds nothing beyond correspondence initiated by the visitor. Requests should be sent to info@rivetcove.com and are answered within thirty days.
The platform is intended for adults aged 18 and over and information is not knowingly collected from anyone below that age. Where this policy is revised, the amended version is published on this page, and continued use of the site after publication constitutes acceptance of it.
